An Analysis of Craft of Nazir Akbarabadi's Poetry
Nazir Akbar Abadi is an eminent figure in Urdu poetry. He is the first public Urdu poet. Apart from Nazm, he was a great poet of Ghazal but he is better known for Nazm. His poetry is peculiar for its mode, tone, rhythm, style, and harmony which make Nazir diverse and distinct among other poets. Technically his poetry is multifarious, unique, and diverse. He possesses an abundant vocabulary and that is the reason the skillful use of rhetorics in their literal and contextual meaning (Sanaae Lafzi O Maanwi) is found in his poetry. The use of such technicalities makes his poetry menseful and fashioned. A very splendid fusion of literal and contextual meaning is found in his poetry. Therefore, from a technical perspective, the following Article explores such union of literal and contextual use of meaning (Sanaae Lafzi O Maanwi) in Nazir’s poetry.
