Abstract

The changing trends and psychological and social problems have completely changed human life after the creation of Pakistan, comic poetry took a new direction. The year 1947 proved to be a harbinger of freedom and humor. Happiness and humor are a requirement of human instinct and a human and temporal need. The literature created after the establishment of Pakistan is equipped with new themes, modern styles, and new inter-linguistic strategies. The comic poets created a new stand by creating humor from words of other languages, word changes, and manipulation. For three decades after the establishment of Pakistan, Syed Muhammad Jafari, Majeed Lahori, Nazir Ahmed Sheikh, Syed Zameer Jafari, and Dilawar Fugar continued to shine the sky with elegance and enrich satire and comic poetry with new interlingual experiments. In this article, I will analyze the interlingual experiments in comic poetry with special reference to Syed Zameer Jafari and Dilawar Fugar.
